The traditional shepherd’s huts at Applegates Glamping are beautifully crafted and offer a cosy and comfortable place to stay. If you’re traveling without a car, especially those choosing to cycle. This is one of the few glamping sites near Bath that is semi-accessible by public transport. You can ride the 272 bus to Shockerwick Lane, or the X83 bus to NW-bound Morris Lane and from either of these stops its about a 20 minute walk to the campsite (about 1 mile walk). But hiring a car and driving is much easier than using the public transport.

The Blackberries Camping Park

If you’re looking for a peaceful and picturesque glamping site near Bath, The Blackberries Camping Park is a great glamping site to consider. Located in the beautiful village of Monkton Farleigh, just 13 minutes drive from Bath, this family-run camping site offers a haven of peace and quiet in a beautiful, rural and countryside setting.

The campsite has a selection of pods, bell tents and shepard huts for you to pick from. You can also choose to bring your own tent, motorhome or caravan as well if you’re not dead set on glamping.

Whilst staying here you’ll have access to a fire pit, with precut wood available to purchase on site. As well as electrical hook up, free hot water, seperate gendered shower/toilets and also acess to a library where you can borrow books.

The campsite is also situated in a great spot for wildlife. So you easily combine a trip where you’ll explore both the city and the countryside.

Ruby’s Retreat isn’t accessible by public transport, so you’ll need to drive (you can easily hire a car in Bath or at the airport if needed or take a taxi. You could also choose to cycle, and the campsite is about 50 minutes from Bath by bike.

Slades Farm

If you’re after a chic glamping site near to Bath, Slades Farm is a great option to consider. The campsite is about 35 minutes drive from Bath, so it is a bit further out than the others covered in this guide. But I still highly recommend staying here as you’ll be surrounded by beauitful countryisde on the edge of the Salisbury Plain.

You’ll also be about 25 minutes drive from Stonehenge, and 35 minutes from Longleat Safari Park + House. You’ll also be near the The Little Zoo which offers Wolf experiences & is a fun day out if you have kids or are interested in learning more about wolves. There’s a good selection of National Trust houses within 20-30 minutes drive as well, such as Great Chalfield Manor and Garden.

So whilst you’re a bit further away from Bath, it is a great place to stay if you’d like easy access to many of the local areas.

When it comes to the accomodation, you can pick from luxurious en-suite pods and shepard huts, with double beds and an outdoor seating area with a fire pit. After a day of exploring Bath, and the nearby Salisbury countryside you could watch the sunset as you chill around the firebit.
